Death by Nutcracker

Well we are in the midst of all of our shows at the moment. Have been at the theatre doing two full runs a day for the last week or so. One performance a day. Today and tomorrow we have two performances a day. We are all pretty tired but running on a lot of adrenaline! And coffee. and tea... Yesterday my flowers part felt like it went really well so I was really happy! We also received a really lovely review in the Vancouver Sun.
Take a look at it by clicking here

"They were elegant and graceful without being staid and formal. During the Valse Des Fleurs, for example, the 16 dancers comprising Les Fleurs were grouped together in four sets of four. Facing inward to each other, they gracefully waved their arms and rose and up and down like flowers responding to the diurnal cycle of light and dark."

On opening night I was one of these flowers. Our group was one of the groups in the front and we were smiling at each other every time we went up and down(we were smiling sooo much).

Anyways I need to get ready for the theatre and the matinee at 2:00. <3

Nutcracker Marathon

Tomorrow is the start of our Nutcracker marathon. Today we had the day off to prepare for all of the shows... I spent the morning running around buying Christmas things, making tea, cooking, catching up with my grandparents, making Christmas wreaths out of pointe shoes, tutoring, listening to X-mas music, writing Christmas cards, cleaning my room and packing for the theatre! It was a busy day and now I am stretching and doing some body conditioning.

Once tomorrow starts we will have 8 shows and 5 runthroughs of Nutcracker.... 13 Nuts to Crack in total and then we are done for the year! I'm sure this week will go by very, very quickly but I am looking forward to all of our performances. <3
